Front mudflaps for a MK3

Whilst talking to Tony and Rachel at Stoneleigh Tony mentioned how similar the previous model Focus front wing shape was to the Midas, something I'd spotted too.

Any MK 3 owners out there was a Focus as well wish to pull a mudflap off and try it on the Midas?

You must be joking. Just buy a sheet of rubber and cut your own subtle and perfect fitting mudflaps.

yep. it ends up with a pebble dash finish, just like my end caps.

That's the reason Lotus 7ish cars have stoneguards. When I worked at the airforce I got hold of "propellor tape". This is a very thick clear tape that prevents erosion on blades and even the leading edge of the F16 wings! Great stuff, but I have used it all on my previous Midasses as stone guards and don't know where to buy it now. Worth looking for to protect the precious sides of your Midas

Sounds like what I have as protection on my mobile phone, sold under the name "InvisibleShield", but pre-cut to suit the phone. The package stated it was what was used to protect helicopter blade leading edges. I've had it on the phone since it came out of its box, and it seems to do a reasonably good job.

Wasn't cheap though, the kit to cover the entire phone (front, rear, all 4 edges) was about £20, but it was bought and fitted for peace of mind.

I've just Googled "InvisibleShield" but all the links I can find point to phone/gadget protection, no sign of a possible source of larger sheets of the stuff. Sorry - thought I might have been onto something there.
