Today, being the 1st April I hot-footed it down to my local Post Office where they deal with Road Fund Licensing.
We first registered our Midas Silver on 1st August 1981 and so today it met the criteria for the Historic Vehicle Class.
I presented a completed V10 "Application for vehicle tax" together with the V5C "Registration Certificate" and a V112 "Declaration of exemption from MOT".
A few clicks on the keyboard and the assistant confirmed that the car was now "taxed" with nothing to pay & she produced a receipt showing the Licence start date and.Licence Period. A new Registration certificate would come from DVLA in due course.

All very smoothly done. Hooray - no more road tax to pay.
