:D Hi all, traced original build history of car with receipts, thus proving built as basically new car, this allowed original registering office to issue correct age related number plate.
Now trying to get further information on car, chassis no SA9AK7505F301002.
Car has been in Scotland since 2002.

Judging at the S/N it must be the second MK3 produced! Wow that's amazing! It has appeared in a road test of a Belgium car magazine which was published in both Dutch and French. (See the archive site and look for the jpg's that start with "Belgium/belgian story").

Well done, first time I've heard of a Q-plate being replaced by an age related one!
Where in Scotland are you? Anywhere near me? (I'm in Tayport)
Care to share any pictures or other info about your car?

(edit) I'm assuming you ARE in Scotland, so I'm going to look a bit silly when you say you actually live in Plymouth... :?

:D Hi just stay across the water in Dundee. Car currently mothballed in garage under covers. Looking to get back to roadworthy in near future. Once this happens will get some pictures to put on site.

I bought my Midas in Dundee last year, and work there three days a week. However the car hasn't turned a wheel for a few months now, it's waiting for me to magic up a bit of free time to wave my spanners at it.

I currently have a target of getting it road legal again in time for the Newark show, but if that falls through, my next target is a camping-and-gin based weekend in Devon, in August...

Anywhere in particular?

A friend's place near Bideford, I think it's the 11th/12th.

Anywhere near you?

I remember this car when it was built. There were a few of us in the Beds and Bucks area and we would meet up at Stoneleigh and Newark shows. This was a really well built car. The guy who built it had made a really nice lid for the glove box. Harold Dermott had said it wasn't necessary to have a lid as the sloping angle meant things wouldn't fall out, but not long after the original owner of your car made his lid, Midas provided a lid.

I've got pictures of it back then if you are interested.

I'm based in Glasgow now.

I also have the early Midas Owners Club mags which include a register of all the cars in the club.

Hi, if you could post some images of car that would be excellent.
