C33 AVC Hibernating

Postby All That Glisters » Wed Jun 20, 2012 9:50 pm

Hi, I said on a previous thread that I'd post photos of the man with the stunning shed (to misquote someone else) who has been making my stub axles. his name is Kev Pinner and his company is Barvek Engineering based in Hayton, North Notts. The photo was posed with Kev trying to look busy at one of his machines but my incompetence with a camera means that he looks like the angel Gabriel with a holy glow from the window behind him, he's not the son of God he's just a naughty little boy! his contact numbers are 01777 704798 or 07789 007997.

As for the stub axles, I don't know yet if the dimensions are correct, I'm hoping to bolt the radius arms in soon but this is what they look like.

At this rate the car may be back on the road this decade.

See y'all

Cheers Mark.

Always great to see interesting workshops.

Looks like theres some nice machinery there! You could make a lot of nice pieces of kit for a Midas with that lot ;).

This is a little embarrassing, I seem to have got the wrong registration number in the topic title, my car is C33 AVC not AVG. I don't understand how that happened, my mnemonic was always 'additional voluntary contributions' (it's a pensions thing) so where did AVG come from?

AVG anti-virus perhaps. Mine was Q23 GVC just to confuse us all even more :)

That's it - well done, it's been one of those little things that nags away in the back of your mind but you've put your finger on it.
Well that's put that one to bed.

I really like this TLA (three letter anagram) game.

that was what was on my mind...albeit replacing the F###y with V####a. LOL. school boy toilet humour never did any harm. ;)
