Yes you don't want to be doing that with your shiney new master cylinder!

I think Alan blew one of those doing the same....although i am not sure if he had an airline on his.

Did you get the calipers today?

they might arrive tomorrow as its all ready christmas in my house as the new discs and pads arrived this morning so a full day on it putting it right
test drive and fingers crossed
I'm going to use the spare tyre but take most of the pressure out of it so its not high enough to blow the resevoir but enough to push the fluid through
then blow the spare back up

Hi Johnny,

Are you up and running yet?

Did the brakes do the job?

Cheers,

David

Ezeybleed system wouldn't work so back to old school with the neighbour pumping the brakes for me .
So now with the new calipers pads and discs and dot 5 fluid everything seems to be working fine now, just the anti roll bar to sort out any body got the part number for the u clamps that go next to the front antiroll bush as these have the wrong ones on ?

Both under trays Finnished ticked off the list new tyres, clocks now in MPH,
new under lay just waiting for the carpets now rewired the stereo ready for the MX5 seats and the CB aerial chased through the body work .

so to get it back on the road list,

strip the new breaks and derust discs
bolt seats in for the MOT
run engine in after top end overhall

then I should have my Midas smile back can't wait

Yey I know that feeling....

Convertible is off the road for 3 weeks while I get the beam and arms copied for the Coupe. Missing it, even though its pissing it down.

Yeah wife wasn't happy with the driving position with the Huntsman seats in they were too low and had a good innings so hopefully the MX5 ones will do the job .They are a nice fit width wise with pleanty of room to reach the adjusters now she should have a better view over the high dash (the dwarf).Your right we have both missed the midas being there to hand but when jobs need doing might as well do it right first time !Just the local runs when its MOT'd to run the engine back in then rejoin the North East crew as they are always asking how it going and when it will be back don't fancy the trip back on the AA van again :(
Hopefully end of the month money permitting I can make use of the new tyres giving the public abuse over the PA system (loads of fun) :P .
