Anyone have one of these they want rid of?
Ideally an MG/VP Metro (but not Turbo) version.
Yes, I realise it's a long shot, but as someone once said, "if you don't ask, you don't get".

Indeed they are, mostly as no one wants 998's anymore, everyone upgrades and people hold onto them.
I gave my last one away for work on my car - really ought to have kept it, but couldn't afford the labour at the time!

I also gave away an A+ 1275 (Metro HLS) engine a couple of years ago, but it WAS a known oil-burner. Just the same, if I'd realised I might have needed one again, I'd still have hung on to it, oil-burner or not...

Indeed I should've kept it and rebuilt it with a mild overbore and put it in a mini...but mine was an oil burner with ruined shells no doubt.

Thanks Alan! That is one of the more expensive examples I've seen...
But I did say non-Turbo...

But a turbo without the turbo, has a stronger crank and other bits I think. So it would make a good engine. Not this one of course, because you could buy 3 or 4 Midas's with engines at that price!
