It looks exactly like the rad in my ’85 Mk2, with header take off at the right hand side.
I had to move the fan on mine when I put the engine from my Mk3 in because it has a starter solenoid attached to the starter, rather than a remote one as the original engine had, and the solenoid and fan motor wanted to occupy the same space. Initially I tried swapping the starter motors over, but the pinion and flywheel ring gears where different and didn’t mesh, so the rad had to come out. The original solenoid is still in there acting as a junction box as the wiring loom was tailored to fit that layout.
