I used a special Biaxial polyester woven tissue 450 gr/m, which must give a better torsional stiffness and compressive strength .

I just received my towerbolts .
I have adapted the "side bulkhead-towerbolt" with thread M16 , the threaded M16 rod goes into the original bolt +- 5 cm deep , I lock this with Loctite .
I can now turn the bolt so that the subframe is completely very thight against the bolt and with the other side I can turn now with the right torque .

The subframe fits very good in the engine area and i have a lot of space now to install the suzuki engine .
I made solid custom rear mounts to spread out the forces on the bulkhead which I renforced to more than 12mm thickness .
I can regulate the tension with the adjustable threaded rods so that the towers are in the correct position ,it will take 5 minuites if I need some correction in the future ......
I am doing a renforcement of the side walls which must allow to install solid frontmounts , in that way the engine will be very well catched so that she moves as little as possible .
The only think I worry are the measurements which prove that the inletmanifold could be to big to pass the bulkhead , but next week will give me the only answer :?:
PS The threaded rods which are to long ,will be shorted to the correct length . :)

As espected I have a problem with the inlet manifold suzuki MK3 .
The manfold is too big and hits the bulkhead ,the inlet is +- 20 cm and the distance engine - bulkhead is +- 15 cm , so difference of 5 cm !
If I change the angle from 7 ° to 13° by lifting the rear mount than the manifold passes........... but than the driveshafts become to high and hit the subframe .
A solution would be to lower the engine at rear and front and make the angle 13°, but than the engine is too close to the ground.
I am looking for a MK1 inletmanifold and hope this will solve the problem :?:
I can also use IBT's injection but this is really too expensive https://danstengineering.co.uk/index.ph ... uzuki+g13b

We had the same issue with the VTEC mini, in the end we cut and angled the manifold runners

Yes I thaught also to short and angle the Suzuki MK2 manifold but the manifold would hit the bonnet and correct welding wasn't easy at all
Finally I took a MK1 manifold which has another construction and NO problem anymore to pass the bulkhead , now I have a lot of space !!!
The diameter of the manifold and the gasthrottle of the MK1 is 42 mm instead of 48 mm with the MK2 .
I 'll use the gasthrottle of the MK2 ( 48 mm) and I will make the diameter of the inlet of the MK1 to 48mm .
The threadholes of the inlet MK1 do not match with the threadholes of the MK2 gasthrottle , therefore I will use a flange which takes on on one side the inlet MK1 and
the other side takes the gasthrottle MK2 .
Just looking at the design of the MK1 and the MK2 ,I have the impression I 'll lose some horsepower ( I am not sure ) but the manifold do not hit anymore the bulkhead :D
Also I have to give up the cold start function , the engine will run jerky by a cold start ..... but only for some minuites .

I just found out if I move the gasthrottle to the leftside, than I have place to put the reservoirs of the brake and clutch cylinders on their original place and I don't have to make/buy a pedalbox anymore, which is a lot of time and money saved :D
I will send later some pictures of this

As said before i have used a MKI inlet instead of a MK2 inlet (MK2 hits the bulkhead), much more place and the manifold do not hit anymore the bulkhead and so finally nothing to change at all .
As the diameter inlet of the MKI is 42mm and the MK2 is 48 mm ,I decided to use the gasthrottle and the maf of the MK2 ,which will give more power and also I will not have a problem with the ECU later ( I hope :) )
I also changed the side of the gasthrottle from the right to the left and I have now place again for the original place of the brake and clutch cylinders on the bulkhead .
In that way I can use the original pedals and I do not not need a pedalbox or change the brake/clutch cylinders to the left side !
