This car is in Cork in the Republic of Ireland. https://www.donedeal.ie/vintagecars-for ... d/22466098
It is advertised at €2250 but I know the seller is flexible on the price. The registration year on the add says 1998 but it should be 1988. Stan (from this forum) bought it from the first owner in 2002 and put a complete 1.4 8v k-series drivetrain and subframes in. He replaced the headlights with polo ones and extended the eye brows slightly to make it fit but you would hardly notice the difference. The Hydragas units were replaced by springs but not the Watson-type conversion and Stan feels he never got the spring rate right. He also changed the rear drums to discs using Toyota mr2 callipers. More recently extended stub axles and 14” Team Dynamics Qualifier wheels have been fitted (with awful cheap tyres).
It is on UK plates and was last registered in Northern Ireland.
Overall the condition of the car is fair but at some stage it was painted and there are a good few micro blisters on the nose. One window wind mechanism has failed.
So...
Perfectly standard car except for: 1.4 k-series 8v engine and 5-speed gearbox; front spring conversion, extended stub axles, rear disc brakes, 14” wheels.
