This was the RHD car that we brought back from Berlin with the moulds.
Mal Hazell bought it from the club, so James must have bought it from Mal along with his Mk2.
I believe that this car had been road legal prior to being exported to Germany.
If there is a chassis number still on it, then we might be able to work out what the original registration number was.
I'm sure that the club will verify the re-importation and then it should be possible to get a V5 re-issued with either the original registration number or an age related plate.
This has got to be worth a try, otherwise somebody will be looking at around £500 for an IVA test, plus a load of dodges to get it through.
