Job done! five minutes of refitting and I was able to use the Midas again. Did not even have to bleed the brakes. :D

Surely you need to bleed the brakes?

Did not bleed the brakes. When the old master cylinder went off I plugged the two brakelines. Before the new one was bolted back I made sure that both circuits were full of fluid. put it all together and brakes were solid from the start. Yes, I was puzzled to. All is fine and brakes have never been better. Ok, maybe even better if I do bleed the brakes at the calipers and rear cylinders.
