I know what you mean.
I must say though, megasquirt/megajolt is a good leap up for the engine. Personally I would always go for the megasquirt as you get the option to do efi if you ever want to, or to just do sparks.
Had to do the drivers side hinges today. Same as Hans did, converted to M8 stainless bolts and put an M8 bolt in as the hinge. Its taken all the slop out and now I don't have to lift the door up (drivers door gets some hammer) to close it

One side effect is my interior light actually switches on and off now when I open/close the door as it lines up right now. It never worked before. Small things amuse small minds LOL.
