Stuart,

Are you sure about this? I clearly remember seeing 2 Coupes being built at Pastiche. One of them was British Racing Green. The bodies were completed.

I didn't know that, I always thought they'd only made the convertible, but happy to be corrected.

A quick look at my bonded-in windows has confirmed that - the windows are a neat fit in the recesses, no room for rubber around the edge.

I recall that when I bought my first Mk3 Coupe from Corby I had the option of rubber seal or bonded for the rear quarterlights and that there was a charge for the bonded option. However I can't find anything on my order form to show how much it would have cost. I ordered the rubber seal option and spent the next few years wishing I'd specified bonded. My second Midas came with the quarterlights bonded which pleased me no end until the glass started to fall out and had to be rebonded at Autoglass. I think that the bonded glass panels are a bit larger than the ones in the rubber sealed version.

I hope they put black etching primer on the window prior to bonding. The reason why the bonded windows fall out is that the sealant is detoriating by the UV light. The black etching paint blocks out the UV (as seen on every production car).
