The wiper motor has a stop position. If I assume you have correctly installed the wiper assembly than you have to readjust the wiper arms. Switch the wiper on and off. It will go to its resting position. Wet the windscreen when you do this, it makes life of the wipermotor easier.
Then remove the nuts on the wiper spindles and pull the wiper arms from the spindles. Place them in a flat position on the window and put the arms back on the spindles and tighten the nuts. It may be necessary to do this a few times and perhaps bend the arms in a vice. Check pictures of other Midasses to see how they look like.
With the standard wiper assembly it may happen that the stroke of the near wiper is a bit too big, it may run up the window rubber. This is a common problem and can only be rectified by shortening the wiper assembly under the dashboard.
Be careful when working with the wiper arms. The internal spring is strong enough to swing the arm back to the window with force. If the wiper rubber is in the wrong position (flipped over) the metal part of the arm hits the window and may cause damage to the windscreen.

Then I suppose the motor switching is faulty. Or it was removed from the assembly (that must be done because the bracket needs to be modified, see the build manual), but when it was installed again, the arms were in the wrong position. The zero position of the motor does not correspond to the zero position of the wiper arms assembly.
My idea would be to disconnect the motor spindle, put it on and off and reinstall in the wiper assembly again (making sure it's in the right position). Or else just buy another one. Rover 100 wiper motors fit as well if you can't find a Metro motor.
