Mk 2 on Ebay

The red Mk2 I thought about for about 2 nanoseconds is back on the bay. It's unfinished and the guy doesn't have the documents or the number plates for it. More than a little dodgy if you wanted to try to put it on the road. Reckon that's what is putting people off as there were no bids last time. That and the fact it doesn't have an engine... I have asked him if the engine is included in the price or not and whether he's 100% sure it's been on the road or not. Looking forward to receiving an answer! Could be a good starting point for a sprint car or racer though 8-)

If the car has been on the road previously and the S/N plaquette is still on the bulk head, it should be possible to retrieve its history via the DVLA and get new papers on the previous supplied number plate. Similar to the blue Gold coupe that has been made road ready (after spending 20 years in a German shed) by b1zbaz. It should mean you don't have to follow a SVA procedure.

I received a reply from the seller with regard to the chassis number, and the number he has is nothing like an original number.

Could it be a Midtec Bronze not sure of their VIN format?? The arches and bonnet suggest it's earlier than that though.

Good point Mike, that could explain the way the inside is trimmed.

The original factory demonstrator went red eventually I remember seeing at the mini world action day years ago. That was A925 VBD not seen that in a while...

Well, someone bought it. I hope to hear on this forum who it was. Would be nice to see this one getting ready for the road as well.
