Here is a Mini Marcos for sale that was built by Harold Dermott and his brother when they still were known as D&H Fibreglass.

It is the true grand daddy of the Bronze. What no doubt will depress me is that a Bronze in this condition would fetch less than 500gbp. Just because a French team raced this car in LeMans quadrupled the value of the Mini Marcosses. It is still ugly from every angle and not straight (Richard Oakes discovered upon making a successor that the Mini Marcos was useless to make a mould of because there was an inch difference in the head lights).

yep sad really they have a face that only a mother could love, the Bronze is a better developed car all round show what nostalgia can do but then again beauty is in the eye of the beer holder.

That is exactly the expression which occurred to me when I was looking at some of them at Stoneleigh!

Lovely little sports cars that get better and better, I wish Richard Oakes had given the Midas a bit of width, I'm sure they'd be worth more too.

Now who's up for a Midas entry to Le Mans next year :P

I'm sure we could talk one of the lads with their tasty twin cams or 7 ports to enter if we throw a few pennies in the coffers
