I am bidding on computers for a injection/ignition setup but have not been succesful. Too bad I hadn't bought that Gotech for just 95 pounds, yesterday I was after a Haltech computer but it went for 450 euro! A bit too expensive for me. Also older Omex and Emerald units are still worth a lot of money. I would go for a Megasquirt, but these fetch 250 euro easily.
Anyway in my quest I had a chat with a knowledgeable man who sent me this link:
http://www.jenvey.co.uk/home/individual ... -sfxx-45-2This is the TB used on the Midget. It seems it's not possible for a 90bhp engine to have just 1 injector, this throttle body has 2. According to Dave Walker who does this sort of setups (see the link in my previous message) you need 2 x 250cc injectors for max. 90hp and 330cc for up to 120hp and 440 for up to 150hp. I saw on a forum a link for free software to calculate which nozzle is needed depending on engine capacity, bhp, single or mutiple injectors, fuel pressure etc.
The problem with the 5 port engine with fuel injection is that cylinder 1 and 4 get very lean while 2 and 3 get too rich. Obviously the way to go is the 7 port, but what I've seen now is that with the wet manifold setup the 5 port works as well. Enough power, easily adjustable and no lean running cylinders.
