Bronze with modified flip nose for sale. Wasn't this a Richard Brabbin Midas?

Hi Hans,
This is indeed one of the two Richard Brabbins cars. The other black car went to Ireland, along with the moulds. I would like to get my hands on these moulds as it would make fitting a modern engine, a doodle!
I did ask Richard if I could buy the moulds, but he never came back to me. The picture on eBay gives a good indication of how to do the job. Any fibreglass whizz-kids willing to take it on!
Alan

Ahh, thats the one you were talking about Alan. The other one was/is black.
Looks like a good build to the contruction too to me. I seem to remember there were some adverse comments made about it but I cannot see why, as it is obviously constucted in a manner similar to the Mk4s at the front. A lot easier to drop engines in an out of. A breeze in fact.
Cheers for letting me have sight of this.
Kind regards,
David

Hi David,
Yes, that's his new project, he built two over about ten years, I think. I've noticed that he is selling the engine in last months kit car magazine. It was a highly tuned Alfa Sud engine. He must be putting something else in the car now!
When I was chatting to him, he told me that he made approaches to the club, at Stoneliegh, years ago and somebody was very rude to him, (one guess). So he never bothered with the Midas people again. It's a shame because he is a great innovator and would have been a great asset to Midas developement!
I wonder if that flip front idea would work on the Mk3? It would give the car a new lease of life! Just think David with that setup you could have two engines, one in the back and one in the front! Eh eh I shouldn't encourage you, I'm a bad influence.
