Does anybody know how to track a car from the reg number its not a Midas though it's my dads old cooper s

Not unless you have someone with access to the police database, its pretty impossible...

And personal use of that is a sackable offence...

I always thought the information was available from the DVLA for a small fee?

How do you mean track it? Do you mean location and owner? Do the DVLA give out that sort of info even for a fee? Wouldn't of thought that legal in this day and age.
You can check on DVLA site to see if the reg is still in circulation and associated with a mini but that's about it isn't it?

Had a dig around and you are correct. I suspect what I'm thinking of is information available to registered keepers of a vehicle, though I can't find a reference to that either.

Probably the best start would be to put the registration up here so it'll come up should anyone do a search on their reg plate. What does the DVLA number check tell you about it?
