At first it seems crap but look at the torque then imagine it without cats plus the weight loss of being in a midas rather than a VW tank.With a small turbo this thing could be a proper little beastie when the prices drop

I've got to say I've had the thought of popping a diesel into a Midas a few times. I drive a Xsara Picasso which gets incredible mpgs but I've also enjoyed some spirited driving in it at times too including giving some serious hassle to a Vauxhall VXR which is probably best not to say much more about but suffice to say his boy racer status was seriously knocked down a fair few pegs. Get a diesel on song especially with the turbo combined with the torque and you can have an impressive mover.
