....maybe they've realised they are rare and want to up the price.

so they say they havent got any, then lo and behold a week later they do....with a double price tag.

A typical manouvre on ebay.

seen that happen a few times.

Great stuff! Let me know how you get on with your new tyres Michael.

Must be a week of Midas Treats.

I'm getting one of these this week.

Kind of like a get you by until I get round to finishing the KAD off. Not enough space in the garage. LOL. ;)

:) No its not. Just imported it from California today (Pierce Manifolds make them).

A right royal rip off it is in Britain! This is a great example. Half the price of what they are charging in the UK, including shipping and taxes.

Just not had a chance to mess about building the other engine up and I had a recon'd 1310 all built up, sitting there doing nothing. It was either that or have the convertible off for another year.

Shimming valves gaps on solid lifters is not my favourite past time and is time consuming......plus the aforesaid engine was sat on the bench in the way.

With any luck I might even make it Stoneleigh in the convertible this year. Here's hoping.

I originally fitted 175/50/13 on my Convertible which left the car a little low geared though it was still turning in 50+ mpg on a motorway run, I've just picked up a set of Turbo crosswire alloys with 185/55/13 tyres on. The car is noticeably slower and less willing to rev through the higher gears on the taller tyres, at 70mph there's a drop of about 500rpm in comparison.

Neither profile catches on the bodywork.
