From the beginning of owning this car I had problems with the radiator hose that runs from the waterpump to the lower LH corner of the radiator. I believe the original Metro item is a metal pipe but on my Midas it is a rubber hose. It tends to hang on the Y-shaped engine bracket and sometimes comes close to the pulley.
I installed a new hose during the rebuild but the problem was still there despite a bit of fiddling:


Therefore I built a small "cradle bracket" with a piece of 3mm rod and a strip of steel:


End result:

You can still see the indent the engine bracket left on the hose.

Next step will be a similar solution to the other radiator hose that has the same problem.

You mean the one that likes to feed itself to the alternator fan?

Should be able to find the correct diameter, and with a couple of stainless clamps you'll be sorted.

I found the stainless steel tube off a broken HENRY vacuum did it for me. Nice piece of stainless tube and just the right diameter.

You mean the one that likes to feed itself to the alternator fan?

Yes, but mine has the problem near the last bend where it hangs on the wiring and distributor.

That's a solution although I think the original Metro tube had a slight bend to pass the Y-bracket with proper clearance.
