Replacing Hydrogas with coils

Postby Rich » Mon Mar 23, 2009 10:20 pm

I was given a link a while back for a company that supplies coil kits that replaced the hydrogas units on a Metro sub frame. There were direct replacements for the hydrogas units rather than coil over units.

Typically, someone has asked me for the link and I can't find it anywhere. Anyone got any ideas?

Hi Rich,

I think that this may be the link that you require. David Manifold is the man who has already done it to a Midas! I think Hans has some in the stocks too!

They invented them to go in the K-series subframe, which is then adapted to fit the Mini.

Yes to everybody the Honda V-tech engine will fit in your Midas, if you don't mind cutting out your headlights!

Oh that's great. That's like saying to someone, we can get Einsteins brain in your head. But to make room we have to remove your eyeballs.
I prefer a Japanese engine that's fits without body mods like a Nissan engine or the Toyota Yaris 1.3 (same as Daihatsu YRV).
