There simply isn't room for the standard style retaining ring, if you went down that route you'd probably have to start off with that ring being mounted first and then everything else including the light its self being fitted from the back if that's possible.

I'd chop the back of the bowl off so you've got something approaching the Cibie/Morette rings (mine are Morette). For £7 it's got to be worth a try?

.....or fabricate your own rings out of some reinforced grp.

The rings are the easy bit, it's those 3 wire clips that'll be the tricky bit

Before we go off doing loads of work and going to lots of expense, We still haven't found out if standard cut down bowls will work! Why did they go for this type of ring? What's the difference? Also I don't have time at the moment, but have we done a search for Morreti rings?

Barry this is all to get you moving, have you got any thoughts?

I've answered your question already Alan. Searching using Morrette is drawing a blank as well.

Another option is to stick some smaller round lights in like the MK1 Elise has, stick a sheet of alloy or grp in there to mount it, and if you like the look of it you could even make a moulding up like the Elise has at a later date to finish it off.

Or stick a pair of these on temporarily http://www.cbsonline.co.uk/product/5%22 ... _Black_HL5

Or go for some of the smaller projector lights

JJC race and rally sell them. I've sifted through google searches and that's the only place I've found other than those already mentioned. I've searched under morette and cibie
