CARPET ADHESIVE REMOVAL & REPLACEMENT

The previous owner of my MK2 had removed all the carpet right up to window level, leaving patches of adhesive and "tufts" of carpet everywhere! I've tried acetone and autoglym tar remover with no success. The only thing which seems to work is a combination of scraping, bad language (!!) and lots of ...

MK2 INNER REAR WHEEL TUB COVERS

I'm referring to the grey leathergrain effect trim covers which cover the fuel pipe/wheel tub on offside and the wheel tub on the nearside. Mine came loose in the car with no obvious way to fit them, concealed or otherwise. I would like to avoid self tappers/adhesive if possible, and would like them ...

Re: Pair of Doors on Ebay

Sorry chaps, I bought them, just for "stock,"seemed rude to ignore them as they were only 1 hour/40 miles from home! In quite good condition, although the
glass is actually (rather scratched) perspex, interesting variation from standard!!

Amazingly the driver's door lock works and came with 2 keys ...

"Damaged" Decathalon on ebay

Another potential bargain has been listed - shown as damaged Cat D (?), but the "damaged" door looks more like window frame is twisted or wrong door seal fitted. Windscreen seal looks like mine! It looks very complete, but in need of a good 'buffing' to restore the shine!

Re: MIDAS RollCage

Ron, as usual many thanks again for your words of wisdom. I will report back in due course when I've had time to get "stuck in" to the Midas again! Unfortunately a few "domestic engineering" jobs and my sons' rallying activities seem to have taken priority again. See www.teamwoodspeed.com website ...

Re: MIDAS RollCage

Ron, thanks for that info, I can now proceed without any worries, and I should not need a pitprop either!

While we're talking Blue book regs, what are your thoughts on fuel tanks/fillers and liquid proof bulkheads in relation to the Midas bodyshell? Obviously the tank
is under the floor, but the ...
