Re: hello from sweden

Hello JWR,

Welcome to the Midas Forum.
After Olof and Ola I was the 3rd importer of a Midas to the Swedish soil.

Olof and Ola had to work hard and ...

Re: Midas Gold Coupe 1987

Hi Patrik.

Could well be my car on the photo, big sunrööf and Lhd.

My sunroof is a Farmont Produktion type: F1000.

As for the front suspension it´s a big divider amongst the Midas owners.

Hydragas, an evolution of the Hydrolastic system, involves spheres with nitrogen in the upper half of the ...

You have made the convertion and it works they way you want. That´s perfect.

I have the spheres in front and coilovers rear, as the original set up.
My front spheres are hard and I´ve found spheres and had them rebuilt and are now hoping ...

Re: Why not Hydragas?

I find it strange that converting to full coilovers on a Midas is regarded as a step forward, when it comes to cars that are mainly used for ordinary road work.
If you use your car on the track most of the time, ok, you won´t have to cope with speed bumps or lesser surfaces as a rule.

Re: Why not Hydragas?

Well, I haven´t checked prices yet, only talked to a friend of mine who just bought a 2Eleven.
I´ve read so often that the ordinary aftermarket coil overs seldom delivers adequate performance, problem with choosing coil to use and not enough options on the damping.
Ohlins, I´ve heard are long ...
