My friend is restoring a metro, any one Hornsby spares from their Midas builds or from donor cars as he will be wanting parts that we don't need for our cars.

Should you end up fitting an ecu, I've used megajolt on a few cars, easy to use. There is one called no-diz about, looks better than megajolt as it doesn't need a Ford ignition module and has Bluetooth so you can alter settings on your phone.

If memory serves people used corsa b steering columns on minis to add power steering. I once had a mk2 midas which had a steering rack from front a BMW mini (I think) it had an electric powered hydraulic pump, it was noisey and took all the feel out of the steering so it had to go. As for signals ...

I thought that grounding the shield on the cable was to isolate from interference.

I've got a mega jolt on my mk3 daily driver and used to have mega jolt on my mk2 daily driver, I have never fitted a capacitor on either car.

I did have the number of the lady who used to be his PA but I do not any more. I spoke to her at Stamford Hall Mini show a couple of weeks ago, if I would have known he was a wanted man I could of asked her if she knows of his whereabouts.

The project is still in planning, my mk3 coupe will be the basis. I will be in my mk3 convertible.
