Re: Coilover/handbrake mounting bracket
A friendly blacksmith helped me to drill out the, very, long bolts holding the coilovers to the handbrake brackets. He also shortened, cut back, the springs about an inch so this will help me getting the car closer to the ground. The springs are still long enough to compress properly when fitting ...

Re: Coilover/handbrake mounting bracket
Superb service, this. I'll return to the car later during the week. With a bit of luck, I should be able to remove the coil overs without cutting the brackets. Otherwise, I might take up your offer. Or just use a piece of iron.
Cheers!

Coilover/handbrake mounting bracket
The coilovers on my Gold are bolted thru the handbrake mounting bracket. It looks neat, but one of the bolts snapped today when I was dismantling the suspension. So when removing the bolts, it could be that I have to be kinda brutal. Are theses brackets still available? In the Haynes Metro manual ...

Removable bonnet fixing idiot driver
After checking the oil the other day, I managed to drive away with the bonnet not properly closed... This resulted in that the small spring loaded "quick fit pin", including its small circlip, that fixes the bonnet stay to the bonnet came adrift. Are suitable replacements available?
Thanks
Olof

Re: I wan't my Midas lower!
Excellent, I'll remove a spring and compare with Ola. And it sounds like a good idea to have a helper spring.
Thanks

I wan't my Midas lower!
Hi,
My Gold Coupé stands too proud at the rear. Actually, it looks a bit like a dog with the rump in the air… Unfortunately, my coilovers are of the non adjustable type so I'm thinking about changing the springs.
Any suggestions where I can source shorter (but still progressive) springs? Which ...

Re: How about a bit of carbon with your Midas?
Hello David,
Thanks for the information and the link. I had sort of decided not to put any more money in the Midas this year (I've got several other projects), but these seats really do look tempting. Will try and check out if I can fit though. Beeing close to 2 meters tall is a challenge when ...

Hi,
Those seats look great! Where did you get them from and how much are they? Also, are they lower than the original Midas seats? Any difference in cabin noice with no soft material absorbing the din?
Regards
Olof

Re: 20 amp indicator?
I bought the fuel tank on a whim from Rimmer Bros without really knowing if it would fit or not. The shape is very similar but it seems the Rover 100 has a slightly lager tank, perhaps 35 liters instead of 30 or something on the older Metro. In the end I had to move the the fuel pipes and alter the ...
