re.sound proofing ,this is something if been thinking of for the mk1 (when i get it on the road) I was thinking of using same carpet that' s used to cover speaker cabinets ,it,s very hard wearing . I would be happy to hear your thought's on this

hi i've seen one fitted to a rear window ,I think the rear wiper was removed and he used the existing hole , don't know how well it worked . but it did look out of placed .

thank's dave, yes it's been a good one ,been working all day in the rain and cold and did'nt get near the car .well there's always tomorrow . been cleaning up the sub frame ,slow job but it's in good shape might paint it on Saturday

hi guy's .
just got the 1300 metro engin runing for the first time on the workshop floor .it sounds very good ,well it's only done 30,000 miles .I think i'll put a new clutch plate in before I start to fit it .I would like to give the engine bay a cosmetic lift ,any tips on what to paint it with.

Personally I'd suggest keeping the hydraulic set-up over the cable if you can. The cable isn't the best design and I've found the adjuster prone to failure, particularly with an uprated clutch.

hi everyone
i'm putting a 1300 metro engine into my mk 1 .any tip on changing the clutch to cable the one that came out is hydraulic .also i've found a small crack i the tub just below the peddles where the floor starts to slope up any handy tip's on repair would be most helpful .cheers

It's a Bronze mk1, built in 1980 based on nr. 10025 owned by Mike Perkins. But that's all I can find in the club data. This specific car and builder have never been part of the Midas club. You can probably find the name of the first owner on several parts of the car (f.e. inside of the door cards ...
