G3 is a heavy cutting compound, ideal for removing heavy swirls/scratches, but not ideal for light swirl removal on gel coat.
I would be tempted to use CarLack which will remove some of the light swirls and of course not hologram.
If your going to do it to remove all the swirls, clay, ipa ...
