Re: BMW K series cylinder head conversion

Have seen a few times a mini with a BMW head conversion racing at Anglesey, and spoke to the owner/builder,driver at some length. Said the conversion had cost him £8 1/2 K so far. My friend who has built several minis for circuit and grasstrack racing thought it was a lot of money, especially when a ...

Re: silicon hoses

Had a job recently to fit silicon hoses to v8 petrol engine in a cruiser (a boat!). First impression was they felt "floppy" and am not certain whether they'll do the job. Come spring we'll find out upon re-launch.

Another job was to change the stern gland hose on a yacht. The original was old and ...

Re: Engine Kit or Engineering Shop?

Agree with above comments re readymade engines and Vizard etc. Will admit to buying an Oscelli unit many years ago and was very good indeed: are they still doing? A Bill Richards engine I drove was probably the best. Is Bill still around?

Re: Coilover springs

Would it be possible for someone to put the info regarding spring rates, shocks and their pros/cons and evaluations, all modifications for all models, somehow in one place on the forum, for those ,like myself, who have poor computer skills, to easily access. I know there can't be one set-up which ...

Re: Still got brake problems!

A friend got some spiral protector from a mini show in Stafford fairly recently, about £9/m, would think available from a mini show near you, perhaps. Aeroquip/Goodridge are still great value when bought as a full set, again very cheap from the shows.
