Yea! I have the suspension sorted.
I drew a blank on the nitrogen, but found a really nifty little pump in Halfords for pumping up mountain bike forks. Only £20 and can pump up to 20 bar. It has a pressure gauge and a de-pressure button too if you need to let some air out.
Now of course normal air ...

Hydragas front suspension
hi all,
I have just got the midas back on the road after 5 yrs.
All OK except front suspension is rock hard (perhaps less than 1 inch movement).
I have modified spheres with the valve on top.
Questions:
Can hydragas be setup to give proper damping . I.e without every road bump crashing through ...

Re: RC40 Exhaust
Ah OK - Its Midas specific - Thanks.
That's a good pic - That's how I expected the modified Rc40 system would look.
I wonder if it would be cheaper to modify my system or buy a Midas specific one from Maniflow - I would have to get someone to do for me as I don't weld.
I shall find out
Thanks ...

RC40 Exhaust
Hi,
I have just wheeled my Midas out after 5 years of neglect in the garage. I am just trying to figure fitting the RC40 exhaust I bought back then. I have new LCB down pipes, a V connecting 2 into 1 piece, then a ball knuckle with a flange on one end that will need to be sawn off. Then I have a ...

Re: Best MPG, A series engines
Thanks for the info guys.
I am thinking the best option is to stick with the 1380 & go for a 2.9 diff (currently 3.1 I think, 70 mph @3500 rpm). Also add the mega jolt and a book a rolling road mapping with needle tweeking.
I think perhaps the megajolt and the tune should be the first step and see ...

Best MPG, A series engines
Hi All,
I have a MK3 Midas Coupe with a 1380 engine, modified Cam (not sure which but its lumpy on tickover) standard SU carb. I get approx 36 mpg on a run.
I am just wondering what may be possible with different engine / head configurations for max MPG (not worried about performance). Current ...
