I came across this ebay advert:

I am quite impressed with the build quality. Luckily the builder did the right thing and published regularly on the GTM forum. If you have nothing to do, it's a nice thread to read, if not for inspiration:

I forgot to read this last night, car looks amazing build quality especially liking the interior.
Always thought the k3s look a bit odd with their roof up, its the equal length ends that look strange

Yes, esspecially the dashboard mod is the way to go. It doesn't look like a kitcar anymore, extremely well done. That's the last bit on my to do list for which I will save money, a proper professional interior job. The stitching around the dash pod is so cool. Much better that flaps of vinyl glued around the edge.lankyjames wrote:I forgot to read this last night, car looks amazing build quality especially liking the interior.

I've seen those hood clips before!

Yes, but the soft top is a folding one! Why didn't we get that on a Midas?Rich wrote:I've seen those hood clips before!

That's something I keep meaning to do too Hans. You can get the bits to make a hood from most Yacht Chandlers (boats bit suppliers) as they use the same parts to make Spray Dodgers and Sun Biminis. There tubes are made in 316 stainless too, so look prettier and won't rust like my existing one have started to do....even inside the garage.Hans Efde wrote:Yes, but the soft top is a folding one! No doubt the Forum Police will now be on my back because I am referring to boat bits again.... But as there's probably more Chandlers than Car bit suppliers in this field I think it's relevant.
I reckon a break back hoop like TVR used to do would be great. There's was part soft top, part hardtop. The back soft top section could be left in to make a kind of Targa, with the front top bit made of GRP covered with hood material to match. Where the sections joined there was a U shaped gutter which drained off to the side.
