Leaking doors

Now that my rear swimming pool has been drained I notice that there is a gap between the doors and the rubber door seals, soaking the drivers seat- can I adjust the door or do I need to get a wider seal?

The window frame should touch the seal. If the doors are correctly adjusted and the frame is in good condition (they can break just above the door, I glued a block of wood inside the door between the frame and the door to stabilize it). Also I glued a T-seal on top of the frame.It falls over the O-seal and seals the gap between the door and the monocoque. It looks a bit like this:

Also make sure that rain that gets inside the door can drain. Usually rain runs via the inner side of the doorcard on the O-seal and back into the car. I used a piece of plastic to prevent it. It looks like this:

When you have done both things, your doors will be 100% watertight.

I get this, sometimes it seals just-about, but most of the time this can't hold water back...and it gets even worse when i wind the window down...

I have spare doors, but have not had the time to test if they fit any better and i am unsure of the amount of play or adjustment in the hinges!

It is a standard extrusion rubber. I suppose a similar company in england should exist. Maybe these guys: http://www.phoenixtrims.co.uk/

just checked the new addition and mine has snapped on the passenger side also the door mechanism only lets the window go down half way more future developements
