and for those without a classic car on the road some details here http://www.croftcircuit.co.uk/iteminfo. ... ype=ticket

and camping at £13 to £15 a night http://www.croftcircuit.co.uk/forthcoming.php

Alan I wonder what is involved in getting an offical club stand at the event?

Well funny you should mention that, but I've been watching one of these:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWAX:IT

Draught beer in one corner, barbecue in the other, looks a bit simpler to put up than a marquee. I might even invite the George Formby impersonator and some dancing girls!

I have sent my form in today so you wont be alone! Come on Midas people.Where can you get two days of top class classic car motor racing for nought !!
Just seeing the variety of cars in the car park inside the circuit makes the trip worth it, never mind the other attractions on show.
Alberto
Thanks for the support Alberto, I just hope there are enough dancing girls to go around!

Alan
My form will be going in this weekend, are we going to ask the organisers for a club stand?
last years event was one of the best events I've been too and the feedback from people I know in other clubs suggests the place will be packed out.

I will be there-just try to keep me away after last year! The mk1 cortina with one wheel on the grass and the back end out on every lap still sticks in my memory-madness in motion! I have been very busy with my Corsa Spyder over the winter with a complete engine and gearbox transplant, suzuki sj 1300,lighter,5 speed and hopefully more reliable.Engine cost £5.50,gearbox £10 [cos it had a stripped sump plug-my neighbour had the exact tap reqd!] both e bay bargains.Just hope it doesnt rain[no roof]hope to see you all there,Stan.

Alan,
I remember your photos from last year, it looks like a great event. It will be even better with a few Midas cars! I have printed out an application form and I will send it off in the morning, I hope to see you and Alberto (and I hope a few more Midas owners). Victor

I like this photo, a shame my continuing ill health prevents me from getting to many events these days. and if you saw the other photo yesterday and wondered where it has gone, it has been removed on the grounds of good taste and decency, where's everyone's sense of humour these days :?
