Re: a few pics finally
its the same colour as your i think i love it love love it and not even driven it yet
Re: a few pics finally
It looks a bit lighter than mine in the pics. Is it same?
Mine is basically Oxford Blue, although I have had it resprayed slightly darker (nearest paint match I could get).....a VW Pearl Blau. From some angles it looks black.

Re: a few pics finally
its probably not the same then how do you know what number it is
Re: a few pics finally
I dont know the number but I do know that my sailing boat is the same colour....and that is called oxford blue. Must be a generic gelcoat colour....used on boats.
I asked the paint guy to match it as near as he could so I didn't have to pull the engine out etc to respray the engine bay etc too. The nearest he found was VW Pearl Blau (German Blue).

Re: a few pics finally
I never really liked mine much, wish I'd made some changes to that one now to get it right. Always much preferred the MK2, oh by the way that white one keeps wispering in my ear when I'm passing, I think i've got Baz's problem......... I think I'm falling in lovemanifold wrote:The Mk3 is a peach of a car though Stuart.![]()

Re: a few pics finally
im not bothered if its a bag of shit to drive i like the fact you can feel everything on the road and the attention when people are wondering what it is i have grown up with kit cars and every single 1 my dad owned the buyer have told him its the best 1 they have driven including a ginetta g26 which he claims is the worst car he ever owned i may be buying a quantum coupe soon as my fiesta is getting eaten alive by rust i hope to never own a metal car again apart from the family car obviously
Re: a few pics finally
Its not a bag of shit to drive. Maybe a bit tedious on long hauls but localised they are as good as anything out there. Coupes more than the Convertibles due to having the stiffer shell.
Put a bag of spuds in the boot in the winter though to keep the back end down on the floor....hence is one reason why my batteries are in the boot now.
Charlie used to say that to me and on this matter I totally agree.
