I don't have a clue what its worth its had a full rebuild including new rear dampers and all new brakes new fuel tank and line new braided brake hoses rolling road tune pretty much everything has been rebuilt or replaced where necessary

Just don't sell it for silly money. These cars are becoming collectibles.

Cars only become valuable after I've sold them. When I'm trying to sell their value is like a second hand FSO

Looks nice in the pictures, I've no idea of value either, as it's your car you should have the first guess. How complete is it? Does it run reliably?

Since I already have mine, I'd like to see them go for Mini Marcos money...

Used car values are a bit of a mystery when Midas and Mini Marcos are compared. I realise that the MM is competition proven (if I remember correctly), but I don't see why a Midas shouldn't be worth at least as much. Anyone care to offer an opposing (or supporting) view on this?

The only view I can offer is based on owning other rare but not “classic” cars, I’ve had 2 Tatras, a Peerless GT, a Ginetta and a few others which are difficult to find. There aren’t many around which should make them valuable, but not many people want one which makes them cheap. This means that prices can vary quite a lot because if there’s someone who’s desperate to own one he’ll pay almost whatever’s needed, but you might have a long wait for another buyer like that.

The Tatra was engineered better than a Porsche 356 but worth about the same as a Beetle, the Peerless was better looking and rarer than a TR3 but most ended up being scrapped for their engines, overdrive gearboxes and instrument panels.

Go with your gut feeling to start with, it’s as good a place as any I think!

On the subject of prices it is demand that currently dictates the price a car sells for.

Ten years ago a Mini Marcos mk4 would sell for between £350 and £1000 ish, today they sell for between £2500 and £6000 ish. Hopefully the same thing will happen to MIdas prices.

I can't sell it I'm gonna work extra hours and seven days a week sorry to disappoint but its just too good it is complete though with a few spares

Good for you, I couldn't sell mine, prob go to the grave still owning it.
