roof rack for Convertible

Re: roof rack for Convertible
Sorry
I should have explained myself better. Camera tripod locking mechanisms, by and large, are designed to take loads of less than 10kg (most in the less than 5kg range). I was concerned that the loading of a surfboard on the roof of a turbo charged Midas on the road at even 60kmh would exceed the safe range of the tripod locking mechanism by a considerable margin. Bye bye surfboard

One übercool Midas with DIY roofrack:
I just came back, drove 120 km's with it, mainly highway at around 100km/h. No problems at all, except for a deafening noise.
Now back to the drawing board for an easier fix, this one needs 2 spanners and a screwdriver to get on/off.

But first tomorrow I´ll make a quick and dirty setup to get the surfboard home and hope it doesn´t start flying on the highway.
