My screen is wired up, at long last. The relay clicks, the little light comes on, now all I need is some mist. Don't suppose I'll have to wait long...

What you need is an extension lead, then boil a kettle inside the car, that must be the ultimate test with a cup of tea at the end of the chore. I suggest you introduce this test at the Mira testing ground, it's a much better test than driving into concrete blocks!!! You know they do these silly test on how quickly your convertible or metal roof folds, well this could be better by fitting a bigger and bigger alternator to get the front screen to clear quicker! Never mind 200 BHP in a Midas, what you need is a 500 amp alternator.

I have to admit I did think of boiling a kettle, well, I already had the extension lead out, but then I thought the neighbours would be convinced I'm as weird as they suspected...so I decided to contain my impatience and have my tea and a chocolate digestive indoors

I've actually had promises for 14 screens so far, so we are nearly there! I'm hoping to order in another week or so, then you can have your screens fitted for the harsh winter we've been promised by Stuart. A heated front screen and a set of snow tires and you've got your go anywhere Midas!
Owners who have fitted HFS, say that it really improves the drive-ability of the car, now more trepidation of the screen misting up one mile down the road! The only better modification would be a five speed gearbox!
