I think I have about eight cheques in hand and about six promises of " the cheques in the post". so we are nearly there. When I get these cheques I will set a deadline and close this task down. Then only the screen collection to sort out!

Alan

Just looking twenty pages of posts, is this a Midas forum record?

Hello All,

Just to let everyone know the state of play. I have ten cheques in hand and I’m expecting to reach the 15 orders next week, then I will set a deadline so nobody can say that they didn’t get a chance to purchase a screen, then that will be it forever!

Regards Alan

Thanks to David and Jean,

As their email on behalf of the Midas owners club produced five inquiries and two cheques so far, plus two more cheques from someone, who was reminded by their post!

Yes David,

The bulk of inquiries came from "The Midas Cars Forum"

I'm hoping to complete the project in a week or so, then that's the last time for this front screen buy. I've been getting inquires about extended rear stub axles from some Metro people. I wondered if any of the Midas fraternity would be interested! It's only really viable to get a batch made.
I'm repairing the Rover BRM at the moment, I need to strip the Swift GTI to get rid of the body from the yard, Then it's rear beam time!

I'd like some extended stub axles Alan, I guess I'd be better to start a new thread for that.

thanks

Thats great Alan.

Glad "The Midas Cars Forum" is still of use. ;) Its been getting quieter this summer.

Hopefully it will pick up this winter with all the jobs people are doing underway.

I'd love some stub axles to save me putting some brackets together as I hate welding. Replied to your e-mail by the way, apologies for the delay

We are still at ten cheques and am still waiting for the last few cheques! But I'm confidant that we will be able to go ahead. So I have decided to set a deadline of the 31st October 2011 to end this, the full and final heated front screen group buy. If you cheque does not arrive by that date, you have missed the boat!

I just do not want this task to go on forever.

So after this it will be the heated rear hatches, as the next group buy! So start saving up as I'm hoping to draw this group buy to an end by spring 2012.

Regards Alan
