.....looking forward to sorting the screen out. Im reckoning on tying it into the same switch as the heated rear screen, via relay.

Hope you got the funds I wired to you Alan.

Hi David,

Yes, I have received your funds, thank you.

In fact I've been in touch with all of the buying group one way or another, and all of the monies have been organised and winging there way to me.

One small challenge is that Ricky has seconded another driver for Sunday as he is away for the weekend, but he has passed a small delivery charge onto the bill, which I hadn't accounted for. So I will need to collect say another £2 from everybody when they collect their screens! But other than that everything is organised for Sunday.

Who will be the first to have a HFS fitted? It will not be me!

Could I say (again) a very big thank you to Alan for sorting this out, I'm now the proud owner of one of the rarest windscreens in the UK.

Thanks again Alan,

Its been a bit of trouble for you to get it sorted out but your efforts are appreciated by all of us.

Screen looks great.

Someone mentioned yesterday that the FIAT screen is a tighter fit (which I understand this screen dimension is based on) than some aftermarket ones. I have no idea if that is true but a FIAT screen is definitely fitted in my Mk3 Coupe.

I just wonder whose going to be the first to install and write the report for all to see..... !

Kind regards,

David

Hello all,

I'd just like to say thank you to everybody who participated in the group buy. I still have six screens to be collected, so my task is not quite finished. I'm also waiting for some wiring instructions from Ricky, which I will post later in the week.

I'm also waiting for the price for a rear hatch for the Coups and I did wonder if we should do a heated rear screen for the convertible hard top? then we would have the full set! The modern Midas becomes a step closer.

I still have heated screens available, if anybody new requires one, just get in touch.

I've been told that normal Fiat 126 screens are no longer made or stocked!

Heated rear hardtop screen..... Now theres a great Idea! Why not! Count me in!

With hindsight I think the edges around the windscreen for about an inch should have been blackened off inside and out. Just enough to cover the silver elements top and bottom. My fault for not speaking up. I saw it on the template but the penny didnt drop.

Does anyone have any good ideas on how to make the edges blackened on the outside permanent? I'm all ears.

Cheers,

David

Hi David,

I take it, that's a glass rear sceen that you require and not a titanium one
