I get about 35-40 mpg in the iron 7 port with Megasquirt (ignition only). I dont consider that too bad when its putting down 135 hp.

"That's the worst 135 hp I've ever seen" ..... I'll get me coat.

However, since that's about double what my engine would have been producing while returning a similar mpg figure, I'd agree it's not at all bad.

That's not bad, my turbo engine does 28 mpg with 120bhp. That's one of the reason to sell it. I want an engine that's a bit quieter and does at least 42mpg. On my first car, a red mk3 coupe the Avonbar 1400(?) factory top spec engine with around 90bhp did 42mpg easily. Once I even did 51mpg with it in bad weather driving 60mph for a long stretch.

I can't complain and is better than expected considering it's currently running on twin dcoe 40's. Maybe when and if I move over to throttle body injection it will improve is hard to say. I expect so though as it means part throttle will be more controlled.

;) dont give the secret away!

I'm often told the car looks like a boat with it being GRP.

Dont thing it will float now though with the suspension cutouts. LOL.
