This a new and genuine component for a Mk 3 Midas, they are made from 3mm thick aluminium and are about 200mm long and are a handed pair! So just for a bit of fun can you guess what they do?
Thanks for putting up the pictures Stuart.
Just looking at the pictures, my garage floor needs swept!!

Mmmm, the last thing I mentioned that uses a rubber bush is the installation of the radiator with a bracket that goes to the bonnet rain gutter. But then I can't place the size or shape of these brackets. Mine are Z shaped and just about 5cm's long.

Seeing that we're unlikely to get any more responses from the quiet and reserved Midas community I might as well give the game away.
