thinking off fitting a 4 pin diff into the turbo I'm building which will be running 10psi. Been looking at the diffs from Minispares or Minisport and just wondered if any of you have used either of these or whether it's even worth fitting one?

I have 4 pin x diffs fitted in all 3 of my engines. I wouldn't dream of having a standard on in. Too many tales of pins shafting the diff housing.

You should get the Minispares one. Its an offset x pin and is the stronger of the two. Don't get the Minisport one.

Mine all run 135 plus bhp.

The general consensus of opinion on the various Mini forums is as David says, avoid Minisport in favour of Minispares.

Both really, which is a pity as it's the one Mini specialist that I'm reasonably often in the vicinity of. My own dealings with them have on occasions been torturous.

Thanks Rich. Once I find the time to do a bit more to my car, I've a feeling I'll have to start using somewhere like that.

Another tip for you.

Of the several Minispares shops try to use Minispares North, rather than the main London site. No disrespect to the guys in London but the Northern lot tend to know whats they have in stock and the relevant info is you need to get the job done.

I live about 15 minutes away from the midlands one and my general experience is that they haven't got a clue mechanically, they're just like magpies....oooh shiney! I'll have that on my mini You would think they'd hire people who know what they're on about
