1972 tax exempt

Is the year ever going to change my car is 25 this year so would have been tax exempt before they changed the law it winds me up
all cars will be VED duty free in a bit, the administration of all these new VED free cars now means it actually costs the DVLA and they get nothing in return.
I wish they'd hurry up, would make running 2nd and 3rd cars less painful in the pocket.
