This forum is for Midas and Midtec Bronze enthusiasts. The Midas is a British car designed as a replacement for the Mini Marcos. https://midasownersclub.co.uk/newforum/
I'm a bit surprised that there isn't already a thread running on this as it's this weekend. I know several folk already have track passes sorted and that the regulars will be there including myself. It would be great to see some new cars joining us. There's often one or two other Midas around the circuit plus several owners without their cars too.
I'm desperately sorting out brake calipers on my car at the moment when I've got spare time and seem to be cutting things a bit fine thanks to parts taking longer than expected to arrive. hope to see people there.
I may well join the Bournemouth Mini Club's convoy for the trip up to the circuit.

We'll be there.
Got my ticket (thanks Tony), not sure if it entitles me to go on the track, but me and my lad will be there.

Lapping sessions are extra, but you can join the lunchtime parade laps with the club for free.

For those who might fancy a bit of track time. You'll need to bring with you your driving licence, ideally a helmet though you can rent one from Castle Combe for the session ( or if you come with beer tokens cake or something equally tempting one or two of us might loan you ours ) Your car will need to be given a quick check over by scrutineers but this is mainly a noise check which Midas usually pass easily. There's also a drivers briefing too.
One of the advantages of being a club member is you can get a reduced rate for the track sessions by booking via the club early. I've got two sessions myself and love getting out there on the circuit. Several other members also take advantage of this opportunity too and have been known to take a victim (ahem sorry that should be passenger) with us too.
The parade lap does not require any of this and is quite tame though it isn't unknown for accidents to happen on this as it is basically a huge moving traffic jam a bit like the M25 only nearly all the cars are Minis and there's a lot of them. A lot
thank you for coming all 9 of new faces great cars 2 brave souls went on the track events well done weather good

I went up in convoy with the Bournemouth Mini Club this year.
As ever, a very enjoyable day with track time thanks to Tony organising that for us
Great also meeting other owners who are restoring their cars and also seeing some restored ones there too. Things are on the up this year with lots of old Midas cars coming out of retirement

I've just found the time to upload some photos from my camera:
The first one just manages to capture all eight cars
