Can anyone tell me what the measurements are for the front damper bolts?

Rich,

I got a proper upgraded mini ones on mine from minispares (it fits).

SHOCK ABSORBER TO UPPER ARM UPGRADED PIN
C-AJJ3361
Upgraded, lower EN8 damper pin. Especially useful for competion cars or street cars with lowered suspension. Its quite a good idea to change these if they are corroded to give a better seating for your dampers> See C-AJJ3359 for upper shock mounts for lowered cars.

I wouldnt fancy putting bolts in there.

I've got nothing to compare it to as mine is a damper free zone at the moment. Looking at the price for those I think I may be firing up the lathe again.

On my car the head of the bolt is unmarked and a M17 spanner fits. I would say a 8.8 bolt with a long straight shaft (only a thread on the end) would be good enough. Have no idea what the size is, M12 or M14 perhaps?

I bit the bullet and bought the Minispares EN8 pins, glad I did as they are very well made with nice lathe cut threads. Managed to fit the offside damper today before rain cancelled play, the top nut is fun isn't it? I should have been a gynaecologist..
