Yes I thaught also to short and angle the Suzuki MK2 manifold but the manifold would hit the bonnet and correct welding wasn't easy at all
Finally I took a MK1 manifold which has another construction and NO problem anymore to pass the bulkhead , now I have a lot of space !!!
The diameter of the manifold and the gasthrottle of the MK1 is 42 mm instead of 48 mm with the MK2 .
I 'll use the gasthrottle of the MK2 ( 48 mm) and I will make the diameter of the inlet of the MK1 to 48mm .
The threadholes of the inlet MK1 do not match with the threadholes of the MK2 gasthrottle , therefore I will use a flange which takes on on one side the inlet MK1 and
the other side takes the gasthrottle MK2 .
Just looking at the design of the MK1 and the MK2 ,I have the impression I 'll lose some horsepower ( I am not sure ) but the manifold do not hit anymore the bulkhead
Also I have to give up the cold start function , the engine will run jerky by a cold start ..... but only for some minuites .
