Jim, the someone was me, although not all the bikes were kits. The garage took some time, but was fun to do. Model making is my main hobby, when I'm not working to keep my Midas, AC and Triumph on the road. Harley's are definitely popular in the UK. Some more pics for you. Regards, Jon
I think the Harley was the one that really threw me although the KAW looks really perfect, almost too good to be real I found it hard to believe even though u said it was all scale models...jim
Hi aston, yes the Yamahas are state of the art nowadays & really have it going in Moto GP & WSBK. I saw a program about Yamaha on TV a while back, it went into the whole history with their pianos about a hundred years ago & coming forward to the bikes esp the sportbikes. They talked to Wayne Rainey whos now disabled from a racing accident about the 500cc GP bike which was a two-stroke. He said the bike was almost uncontrollable when it came into its powerband and would go more than 200 mph back around 1990, this was on a private test track in japan. Good luck with your license, jim
Just so you don't feel left out, I had a Lambretta TV 175 ( I think that was the model) back in the days when I was a Mod! This is obviously I'm bored with the telly night!
My that was fourty years ago now. I had a full length 1920-30's brown leather motoring coat, which I foolishly gave away. I thought I was the dogs danglers!
I think now I would need a Lambretta TV 1750 cc, as I'm now nearly twice the man I was then (weight)
