Insurance?

Postby Rich » Mon Aug 17, 2009 9:19 pm

I've got my first quotes today from a local specialist and I'm slightly staggered that they are pitching at around £300+ to insure a plastic Metro, I was insuring a 2.0 16v Toyota for less than that. I'm 38 with a clean licence, no dramas in my history.

Any recommendations?

I'm also 38 and I got mine insured through footman james £160 fully comp with the wife but on a limited milage (3500 mls) but if I go over this its an extra £60
Saying that its also covered for show events and track days and comes with free brake down cover might be worth a call at least ;)

I tried them, but couldn't get past the 'on hold' music. I'll give them another go on Wednesday.

Hi,
I have used Adrian Flux for the past two years, less than £200 including a recovery service (fortunately I have not needed that yet).

www.adrianflux.co.uk/kit or 0800 505 3000

Regards

I have used Graham Sykes for most of the twenty years that I've been driving Midases.
I had to make claims when I was rear-ended by an uninsured driver, and when I rolled my first Gold. Both where handled very efficiently. They also did a good job handling the claim when my second Gold was written off by a careless taxi driver.
When I got quotes for my Bronze this year, their price for 10,000 miles was better than Adrian Flux's for 7,000.
So, I'm still with Graham Sykes.

I've insured it today for £150.26. Fully comp, agreed value, 5000 miles, £50 excess, 90 day green card etc etc etc.

Insured with Highway via Sureterm.

Oh and part of the deal is that I'm in a car club....... better get that sorted.
